No idea, we hadn't talked in awhile and I woke up to those messages. I don't think we talked much after. It was a pretty random thing.

They traded the 2nd best defenseman in the league for an older, slower and less dynamic guy. The Habs, are in my mind, the 2nd worst team in the Atlantic. Bottom 5 team in the league.

That Shaw contract is an absolute disaster. A Clarkson type debacle.

Nice to know Shero is shopping but doesn't sound like we were close. The guy is only 30 so a second year wouldn't be a big deal... if he wasn't such an unpredictable player.

They said at one point that it would be Zacha and Kinkaid, but that seems unlikely. Do you think a package of Kinkaid, Boucher and a 2nd would do it? I think so. After all, they want to trade JVR anyway

Maybe, I don't want to part with Zacha. I would do Boucher, Kinkaid and a 2nd in heartbeat though.

Toronto is probably going to want a first for him though.

If this woulda happened, it would be Russia sending back Radulov to make up for taking Kovalchuk.
